Cortisol, called the stress hormone, influences the growth of another hormone: prolactin. This, in turn, is responsible for sexual arousal. In a normal situation, its level increases after orgasm, that is, inform the body about the satisfaction that has been reached. When its high level lasts for a long time through stress, the body perceives it as a signal of constant satisfaction. What evolutionary made sense, because it kept us from procreating in an emergency situation, now unfortunately becomes a hindrance.

Secondly, because orgasm causes, among others, a strong dose of endorphins, a well-known hormone of happiness. So we achieve the effect of eating a chocolate bar only instead of delivering calories to the body, we burn them. Thirdly, the same prolactin, which we wrote earlier, is released after orgasm and relaxes, causing drowsiness. For this reason, sex makes falling asleep easier. In addition, in women, the same caressing, increase the level of oxytocin. This attachment hormone, which stimulates trust and love, also affects the willingness and willingness to cooperate.
